I am completing a MA degree in History after receiving my BA from the University of North Texas in 2020 majoring in Art History and Religious Studies with a certificate in Medieval and Renaissance Studies. As an undergraduate, I was a non-traditional student since I worked full-time in student affairs while completing my degree part-time. So far at UNT, I have completed 5 semesters of Latin, studied abroad, and am currently a teaching assistant for the department. My current research focuses on Etruscan burials and ritualistic mourning performed primarily by women as well as other ritualistic and religious behaviors associated with death in the ancient Mediterranean. In addition to my academic work at UNT, I am also the Assistant Lab Director for the San Giuliano Archaeological Research Project based in Barbarano Romano, Lazio, Italy.
