The Fall 2023 semester is my first semester as a graduate student, I previously graduated summa cum laude from UNT with a Bachelor of Arts in History in 2021. As an undergraduate student, I developed an interest in gender history, specifically in early modern Europe, and the impact of education on women and power. Additionally, I worked within the Portal to Texas History as a metadata technician for the KXAS collection. In my gap years, I was a Texas history teacher where my interests evolved to also include the history of gender, race, and criminal justice in the American West and specifically Texas. While teaching I sponsored the Social Studies UIL team and was nominated for teacher of the year.
