Starting my graduate studies in Fall 2020, I previously received BAs in History and Linguistics from The University of Texas at Austin. As an undergraduate student, I was interested in Russian and digital history, specifically disinformation and misinformation in the digital era and its impact on US politics. My interests evolved, however, during my gap year - and especially in the light of current events - to focus on domestic issues regarding racial history and the discrimination minorities have faced in the US.

Additional Information:

I interned as a digital history student with UT's History department, served as a research assistant for various linguistics labs, and acted as a VP for UT's chapter of Phi Alpha Theta. Additionally, I intend to enroll in UNT's post-bacc teaching certification program and hope to become a secondary teacher, preferably for US History or Government :)
