My recently finished thesis title: Australian Mateship and Imperialistic Encounters with the United States in the Vietnam War.

Specialty Areas: US-Australian interactions during the 20th century, which includes diplomatic, military, and social relationships.

I am a Modern Historian (19th and 20th centuries) that specializes in examining the interactions between the United States and Australia, as well as issues on colonialism and imperialism at the end of many European empires. This includes a heavy focus on the British Empire and the subsequent Commonwealth. I have studied abroad in Australia for a semester in the second half of 2016, and have conducted research in the National Archives and Records Administration in Washington D.C. in the summer of 2019 for my Master's thesis. I am just starting my doctorate program with the UNT history department after getting my Master's from UNT. I have been a TA for the past two years and look forward to honing my pedagogical skills further with UNT.
