Dr. Devin Fergus will be our guest speaker, and he will be lecturing on "Land of the Fee: The Hidden History of the Ghetto Tax, 1980-2008." Dr. Fergus earned his PhD from Columbia University and has been a Mellon Fellow at Cambridge University, a Woodrow Wilson International Center Fellow, and a Fellow at The James Weldon Johnson Institute. Dr. Fergus is the author of Liberalism, Black Power, and the Making of American Politics, 1965-1980 and currently teaches history at Hunter College in New York.
