Specialty Areas: Women's Military History, specializing in World War II America and Europe.

A lifelong Colorado native, I earned my BA in History at the University of Northern Colorado and my MA in History at the University of Colorado Denver, where I also focused on Public History - Museums. My research focuses on women's military history, specifically through answering questions of how women's participation has changed and evolved throughout different conflicts and how warfare impacts women's roles and lives. I also examine how women's participation is remembered or portrayed. Currently I am expanding my work on the Second World War into women's involvement in France and England.

I also enjoy the outdoors and have climbed several of Colorado's 14er and 13er mountains. I'm a proud pet parent of two large dogs who keep me busy! Travel is also one of my passions - when I can afford it. I love experiencing new places and sometimes even go places other than historic sites and museums!
